Hospitality Room Pizza and Subs
As family members arrive Thursday afternoon and evening, the Hospitality Room will be open to welcome them. Pizza and sub sandwiches will be available for those who reserved and prepaid for them. So if you're getting in town later in the day, this might be a good option for you.
Epicenter - Alive After Five Concert (Optional)
This is an optional event on Thursday evening which features a bevy of retailers, restaurants, nightlife, and more fill the open-air corridors including 25,000 square foot event venue called Pavilion, which hosts the "Alive After Five" summer concert music series. There is also a bowling alley and movie theater. PLEASE indicate your interest in doing this on the Registration Form so we may contact you prior to arrival and plan for this. There is no charge for the Concert however any food, etc. will be on your own.
Bus Tour of Charlotte, Carriage Ride and Billy Graham Library (Lunch is included)
We will depart from Embassy Suites at 10 a.m. on Friday morning to tour the many attractions that Charlotte has to offer. We will see the heart of the City that is home to the NASCAR Hall of Fame, NFL Carolina Panthers, NBA Charlotte Bobcats, the Charlotte Hounds of the Major League Lacrosse, U.S. National Whitewater Center and much, much more.
One of the best ways to explore the city's growing thoroughfares is the horse-drawn CHARLOTTE CENTER CITY CARRIAGE TOURS. We will 'clip-clop' through the city streets including Fourth Ward, featuring striking Victorian homes and an impressive tree canopy.
The BILLY GRAHAM LIBRARY combines iconic memorabilia and multimedia technology to transport visitors into the life and faith of the beloved evangelist. A country kitchen and replica of Graham's boyhood home complete this not-to-be-missed experience.
Family Dinner Saturday Night
Enjoy dinner with everyone on the last night. Omaha Steak House is in the hotel lobby and they look forward to hosting our Saturday evening meal. Enjoy cocktails in the lobby beginning at 5:30 this evening and then we will walk together over to the restaurant.
Business Meeting, Farewell Lunch Buffet, and Gift Exchange
Following the morning business meeting, the Family Farewell Lunch will be in the hotel. We will end our meal with our tradition of exchanging gifts brought from home; something that represents the area from which we came. Many love to bring homemade items.
